For some reason the Google Toolbar has stopped showing. I have recently updated to 3.6.13. I have tried uninstalling but am unable to do this or update the toolbar. I just get the message that it will update when Firefox restarts. Anyone have any ideas?

Try resetting the Extension Manager. With Firefox closed, delete the following files in your Profile folder':
extensions.cache
extensions.ini
extensions.rdf
and
compatibility.ini
They'll be re-created when you open Firefox.

Making sure Firefox closed:

Profile location:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder

You may need to show hidden files to locate your profile (W2K & WinXP):

Worked for me, I got Google toolbar back and colour tabs, but I still cannot get certain buttons to work? The IM Translator and Facebook buttons don't function still and one website I use does not display correctly? Is there another folder I can delete in Profile Folder? Also after I close FF and then try to reopen it, it does not work, so I have to go to Task Manager and close it there, then it will reopen? I wish I stayed with FF3.6.12!! Oh I am running Win 7 HP 64 bit. Thanks :-)))
