I have written a ftp server which used to work with Firefox 2.x but not Firefox 3.x

It looks like in Firefox 2.x it will ask my ftp server to do CWD(change directory) and then ask for a list of files/folder under the changed directory. However, in 3.x it will change directory and then disconnect right away. Why? This happens everytime I use firefox with my ftp server like ftp://unknown:6334@locahost:3650/myfolder
