Firefox won't always minimize or resize. The upper right hand corner just pulsates. Looking through forums, I found that using f11 can help, but it doesn't always work. Often I have to reboot.

This happened

Not sure how often

Chosen solution

Problem has occurred while using both 3.5.9 and (now) 3.5.10. I'm using Vista. Right-click menu options often do not appear. Firefox often stops responding and then crashes soon after the pulsating begins. This is a major issue.

Using firefox 3.6.3, fully patched/updated XP on samsung laptop. sometimes F11 simply doesn't work and i end up sgtuck in full screen and unable to get out of it. using control/alt/delete and task manager is the only resort at that point. can the functionality of F11 be sorted out properly please?

Same problem. F11 just doesn't work on my desktop Win7 while it does work on my Asus nb205 netbook. This is an ongoing problem. Mozzila can't fix this after all these years??? Ridiculous.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See:

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
