Same exact problem. A workaround is to right click and open link in new tab...but Mozilla really needs to fix this problem. For now, I'm off to use Chrome...but I will be back when FF gets this fixed.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.
