Hi Nancy, do you mean the boxes asking if you want to sign into sites with Google? That might have been an annoyances filter for the uBlock Origin extension. Does that ring a bell?

If I remember correctly in the upper right hand corner it showed the number of attempts that had been blocked. If you clicked that it listed the items blocked. Google had a large percentage of the items. Thanks,

Hi Nancy, it would have been an add-on, but it's difficult to guess which one. If it wasn't uBlock Origin (linked earlier), do you recall what the icon looked like?

I'm sorry I can't remember. I have a new computer and when I installed Firefox it was offered. I had problems with Windows 10 and had to reinstall everything. I have looked in settings and did not see a offer for something like that. Thank you for your help.

Okay, well, if you decide to try it, you can do a search on the built-in Add-ons page (Ctrl+Shift+A) or get uBlock Origin on the Add-ons site at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
