I'm getting regular popups using thunderbird about authentication required for mailfence, I may have created an account with mailfence initially, but i never used it and advised mailfence I wasnt using it.

click tools>account settings' and review if there is a mailfence account. If so, highlight it, scroll further down to 'account actions' and click to remove account.
Hi David, thanks for your suggestion, any suggestions are much appreciated, i wasn't able to find the mailfence account listed though unfortunately. I've attached a screenshot of the popup and a screenshot of the account settings.
All I can think of is that Mailfence may have defined a calendar or an addressbook.
