I had just installed Proton VPN.

When the VPN is enabled, it prevents me from sending mail through Mozilla Thunderbird. When I disable the VPN, the mail sends OK.

Is there a setting I need to change in Thunderbird?

Thanks & Regards, Shubham

Hi Shubham, Just to be sure. You are not using Proton mail, you are using your existing email with the proton VPN? If yes, is it just the sending that doesn't work? If this is the case, could you try to use the alternative ports 465 or 587 as an outgoing SMTP port within Thunderbird settings in combination with SSL/TLS.

I just want to inform you. I'm a ProtonMail Enterprise user, and I'd like to use Proton VPN to send emails through Thunderbird. If that's possible, please assist me.

I was talking about those questions ^^

If you are using a proton email, you would need to install the Proton Bridge for Thunderbird: https://proton.me/support/protonmail-bridge-clients-windows-thunderbird
