Staying on 115.3.1
My T'bird is functioning OK at this release level, though I see that 115.4.2 has now been made available. I only use the email in/sent etc together with Local Folders ... I do not need to deploy such as Calendar/Tasks/Chat etc.
Can I now safely update or should I hold at my current version ... I read a lot about numerous issues still giving users operational problems, though some of course can be due to user set up. Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you're already on 115, you shouldn't have any issues with further updates to the 115 branch, as some, but not all, problems are fixed with each 115 release. The time to hesitate is when the annual major release is offered around June/July. Wait a few months for the major bugs to be fixed, or run two versions side-by-side.

Thanks for your advice, especially about the annual major release. Since my 115 is functioning correctly for me I will stay 'as is' but keep an eye on the 'problems solved' with new updates.
To be more specific, point releases like 115.4.2, 115.4.3, 115,5.0. etc are bug fix releases and do not introduce major changes as did 102 to 115. You should do the point releases.
OK, I'm convinced. T'bird updated to latest and no obvious changes to my display or settings Thanks.
