External monitor pixelated

My Thunderbird emails are fine directly on my laptop, but when I attach an external monitor everything becomes to pixelated I cannot easily read my email If I restart Thunderbird in Troubleshoot Mode with no addons or themes, it gets much better, but I use the add ons!

Try disabling the hardware acceleration in settings. It is one of those settings that really has no "correct" setting. Any software update on the host machine, or change to monitor can set it to no longer correct for you. If it is off, try on.
