This is [email]@tpg.com.au During the previous two days I have requested help via this function on two fronts - first the "send" command was not working, and secondly I requested if there was a way to restore data that disappeared when T'bird.exe was re-run. On this, the day following, I am having intermittent reception for incoming emails. Normal traffic is 10 - 20 emails overnight - today nothing initially, and dribs and drabs happening randomly. I have sent test messages to this email address, from a different computer, which have not been rec'd. I am assuming that if a response to my original messsage had been sent from T'bird support, I have not rec'd it because the system is not working seamlessly. Can anyone help me to sort out the bugs here ???

See original question regarding that Support Request. If unsure whether you have received anything then access your question in this Support forum, refresh the page and see if there is a comment. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1396296

re :I have sent test messages to this email address, from a different computer, which have not been rec'd.

Logon to webmail account via a browser and see the 'test' emails are visible in the webmail account 'Inbox'. Please note: if server put the test emails into the webmail 'Spam' folder and you have created a POP account in Thunderbird, it wll not get downloaded because POP accounts can only access and download emails from the server Inbox. That is not a problem with Thunderbird. So first find out if those emails are actually in the server 'Inbox'.

You will only receive a response if someone posts a comment. You should be patient and wait until someone can help. We are all unpaid volunteers from all over the world offering help in our free time. Remember, if you are not sure if a comment has been made, you can check it via this Support Forum. Perhaps it would be a good idea if you bookmarked a link to your profile. You can get access to all questions you posted via your profile. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/user/kkiely31

As a security heads up, please do not post your email address into any public Support Forum because it is visible to the entire world. Spam bots or nefarious people can find it and might abuse it. No one on this forum will use it because comments are auto sent to the email address used when creating the Firefox Forum account.

Thanks for your tip about showing the full email address. I will be more careful in future. Obviously I am able to see your responses ..... because receive has commenced operating again.
