Changing Text Colors
Hi, Sorry for the newbie question but ... I change the color of a word and can't read it. How can I revert it to what was there before? Can't I just use a different color? Like White .... I searched and searched - I think I must have typed my question wrong. You all are pretty good.
Thanks.

I am guessing you changed in in the compose screen? If so, you may be able to highlight the word, and then select the color icon in the compose menu. And maybe I am misunderstanding, so do share more if I'm off track.
David, Not sure what you mean by "the compose screen". I was Replying to an email and highlighted some text and couldn't read it. Tried to change it back and couldn't, even selecting White. I'm probably not using TB color highlighting properly. Tutorial anywhere?
I recall a bug with Macs. Are you using Windows? You're using a dark theme? Were you highlighting part of the original email or were you highlighting part of your response? I'm trying to figure the keystrokes you did, as I cannot duplicate this in Windows.

Ok, so why would you want to change color to white, since that is normally the background? This is puzzling.
David, I tried black and that's what got me in trouble. I have a thought .... stand by

So it is! And I just got new glasses.
I have a funny feeling we are running over the existing text styles of the email being replied to. The image is set to black text on a white background, but that will normally not effect correctly is what you have replied to already specifies text and background colours in the original email.
Highlighting text as in selecting with your mouse is entirely temporary and clicking outside the selected area will revert the the original colours.
Or are you using an addon to highlight such as this https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/textmarker/?src=search so we are not understanding you?
