set up thunderbird using hotmail account

I have just installed spamfighter on a win 10 desktop. I am trying to load my hotmail email information into thunderbird using the manual method which appears to be the only way to do it. I am using firefox ver 104.0.2 (64-bit).

using the mozilla help information https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-hotmail, it refers me to a thunderbird page and find the tools button, I can't find it.

Do you see a menu at top of Thunderbird screen? If not, right-click menu there and click 'menu bar' and then you will see the menu and the 'tools' entry.
