thunderbird 102.1.2 new install, new user - I cannot get to "options" menu (not under three bars, not under settings)

I want to set the font size for folder names, subject lines, and so forth. Various web entries say to go to "options" - but I cannot get to "options" - it does not appear under the 3-bar icon, it doesn't appear under the various settings buttons, it is not listed under "tools".

OK, thank you.

So how do I change the size of the font in the folder message list? (I can zoom on the contents of messages, I need to zoom in the message list itself)

OK, "config editor" seems to be actual tool of interest - it cures the issue. And so David's answer leads the way.

There are fancier, more complex, ways, but this tip works for many:

0. first make a copy of prefs.js, just in case you have problems. 1. tools>preferences>general scroll down to config editor on right side. 2. enter layout.css.devPixelsPerPx the default is -1.0 try increasing slightly, as it can quickly get too big. try something such a 1.2 or so for starters.

OK - there is no longer a tools>preferences...

But tools>settings>general -> will lead one to config editor - which works exactly as described!
