Hello,

As per your question, it seems like you're using Firefox Sync as a backup service (as I tried and shown in the attached image). The Firefox Sync service will copy your data and transfer it to other devices (commonly mobile devices like tablet or mobile phone) that is running a copy of Firefox. Hence, the storage between all your devices is only temporary and not stable enough as a reliable backup service (as it is designed to be so).

You may be able to restore your bookmarks and other data if you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox by referring to this article.

You may also refer to this article to help you connect to Firefox Sync for the purpose of copying your data if you have a copy of your data on mobile version of Firefox.

All I'm trying to do is change the password on my Firefox Account. The one that's there is terrible, created in simpler times when simpler passwords seemed ok. I need to change it. But, after I saw the message (see below) that if I change my password to my Firefox Account I will lose all my data, I posted this question. I have a lot of logins and passwords stored in Firefox, and a lot of Bookmarks as well. I use Firefox as a password manager across my devices, and as a bookmark manager. It's why I use Firefox on all devices. But I can't lose all that just to change to a better Firefox Account password.

So, if I change the password on my Firefox account will I lose all my stored passwords and bookmarks on all my devices? See the warning I'm concerned about below.

Hi

The data will remain on devices, but anything that is between device being synced will be lost.
