Recently I have noticed Thunderbird will reopen without assistance. I can close it at the end of the work day and then log into my computer remotely from home later in the day and Thunderbird will be running. I will close it again only to log in remotely again later to find it up and running. It is not in my startup folder and I can't determine why it starts unattened.

Thanks, Brad

Just a suggestion: after shutting TB down at work, bring up the task manager and check running processes. I have found on occasion that TB never fully shut down, even though it gave that impression.

Hi David,

Thanks for that suggestion. However, I have already looked in the Task Manager after I exit Thunderbird and it is nowhere to be found. I have looked for "Thunderbird" and also for "Mozilla".

This is maddening. The only way to stop it from doing this is to do a daily restart on my computer before leaving work for the day.

Thanks Brad
