Missing Bookmarks

Yesterday Firefox installed some updates. A while later I noticed that my bookmark icon to the left of the navigation box was missing, that some icons to the right of the navigation box(immediately to the right of the bookmark star) were missing, and that one line below, under the Other Bookmarks icon, there was only some of the bookmarks that used to be there. I tried following your suggestions with no luck? Any suggestions? Thanks.
