Unable to delete a gmail account
I have Thunderbird 78.13.0 (64-bit) installed on my macbook pro mid 2012. I am having issues with folder compacting. It takes a long time no matter how often I do it, and makes the whole computer unusable until it's finished.
I have 3 accounts, 2 pop accounts and 1 gmail account that I don't use. I have tried removing the gmail account, and get to the confirmation screen saying "removal successful" - I then close thunderbird, and reload - and the account is back again.

If you can t remove the account it s possible that there might be something with the setup of this piece of software. Can you remove everything of this gmail-account?
Is It possible to delete every profile from this existing account? Also if they are in folders? Delete all of it mannually. Clean your local folders and ssd from this account. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Local_Folders
Run a cleaner for a while something like ccCleaner. Check if there is some change.
