Gmail account on Thunderbird stopped working - gets stuck on "Connected to imap.gmail.com"
Hi,
Basically all included in the title - Gmail account on Thunderbird stopped working - gets stuck on "Connected to imap.gmail.com".
I tried to remove this account from saved passwords (it was helping in the past). I reinstalled Thunderbird. I removed this account and recreated it again.
When I create account it does not accept the password - but it does not matter, since OAuth2 should appear new window to type in credentials. I does not appear. When I click to download messages on the bottom bar I have info: "Connected to imap.gmail.com...". And it stays that way.
I also allowed less secured apps to use google account (probably unnecessary since Thunderbird works well on my secondary laptop).
Can you advise me what else can I do?
Tomasz

If you are using ESET/NOD32 security/AV then probability is very high it is causing your problems. According to ESET forums, you should temporarily disable SSL on ESET until they solve the problem per https://support.eset.com/en/kb3126-disable-ssl-filtering-in-eset-windows-products?ref=esf - the problem is being reported by dozens of users https://forum.eset.com/topic/26517-problems-with-thunderbird-and-imaps/ https://forum.eset.com/discover/

Yeah, I am using ESET Internet Security (on both computers, but seems it makes problem only on one).
Thank you very much! I spent hours to find solution. Unfortunately I haven't came across this ESET issue.
