I no longer receive bulk (junk) emails in my Yahoo account or Spam emails in my gmail account.

I no longer receive bulk (junk) emails in my Yahoo account or Spam emails in my gmail account. When I try to synchronise these folders I get the following message:

The operation failed because another operation is using the folder. Please wait for that operation to finish and then try again.

Can anyone please help?
