Firefox for linux with Android layout and GUI

more options

Hello,

Is there a way to use the Firefox layout for the Android app with the Linux version?

I have a mobile phone running GNU/Linux on ARM. I can install Firefox and it runs perfectly. However, the standard layout is not optimized for the screen of a mobile phone. Where could I begin exploring using the Android layout with the desktop version? Could this be achieved via an extension or addon? Or is the layout hardcoded in Firefox?

Thank you in advance!

  • What the point or goal, specifically feature by feature?
  • No, not by add-on / extension. Hasn't been possible with the Firefox Quantum 57 version and later, 'banned' via extensions. Although, userChrome.css is being used for much more now-a-days since extensions have been "throttled", but the more complicated the "user code" has become the more that a users customization get broken and lately it's become a monthly chore to fix what 'broke'.
  • The underlying user interface code is being updated with almost every new version release. Mostly those changes don't affect the user, except maybe visibly, but with the userChrome modifications it has become a night-mare for some users.
