I installed the latest Thunderbird software (68.8.1) and it was supposed to fix my incoming/outgoing mail issues. I can receive emails now but I can't send out emails. Any suggestions?

That looks somewhat odd.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Account Settings

Select 'Server settings' for your Telus account in the left pane.
For the incoming server (IMAP) use
imap.telus.net
Connection security: SSL/TLS
That should automatically set the port number to 993

For the outgoing server (SMTP) use
smtp.telus.net
Connection security: SSL/TLS
That should automatically set the port number to 465.

Is there any difference?
If these settings still don't work, please check with Telus support what the correct settings are.

Did you verify your Outgoing Server settings as suggested in the error message?

Ok, so my email worked for about 1/2 hour and then it went back to the same issues I had. I contacted to Telus and then they said all me setting were correct (the ones you gave me) and then they said that because I'm using a third party software that they don't support it. Any other suggestions? Mike
