How do I disable the url-thingy in the corner? Anytime I watch a video, or hover over a link, it just stays there and it's really annoying.

I switched from chrome because I just couldn't stand the URL box in the bottom left following me all the time, when watching videos, when playing games, etc. How do I disable it or do I have to find another browser to use?

It sounds like Firefox is probably detecting that you are hovering over a link, in which case it will show the URL for the link you are hovering over. To disable this behaviour, you would need to use the userChrome.css code that's described in the solution to this thread.

If you are new to using the userChrome.css file, I recommend taking a look at the How to Create a userChrome.css File page on the userChrome.org website.
