I am running thunderbird 68.6.0 (64-bit) on Tails and Debian 10.

I would like Thunderbird to send a canned "notification" email to my work email address depending on certain email filters.

So I get an email that triggers a filter, then thunderbird sends a canned email from a specified email to a specified email with a standerd “you received a new email” message.

I can set thunderbird to forward the whole email along, but the email adress I would like these notifications sent to is not secure and no information from the initial email that was sent to me should be sent along (exept maybe the time I got the email)

As you can see, there is an option to reply with a template and to forward the message. Those are the available actions.

There is an addon that might do it for you. If not the addon author might be amenable to adding a new action. If is a powerful tool, so somewhere in there I would think there is a forward a temple instead of the message.
