I have a lot of clients and I use email to communicate various situations. Sometimes, I get new email addresses to write to, and I don't know if they are correct. Problem is Thunderbird is retrying a a lot of times to send the message if the address is wrong, which causes my server to stop sending emails.

I've searched all the settings to find something like "no of retries" or "stop retrying after x times" but I can't seem to find anything in Thunderbird's settings.

Is there such a setting, or a script to be used to prevent retrying more than a couple of times ?

Hi Can you upload a picture (screenshot or snip) of the retry message? Just to check Thunderbird is retrying and not your email server.
