So every time I send an Email through thunderbird with my socal.rr.com address as the sender I get this error, "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 550 5.1.0 <xxxx@socal.rr.com> sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again."

The Email then goes into my "sent" folder, yet not every Email I've sent actual goes through, and others are severely delayed. This issue just started a few days ago out of the blue. I'm getting a bit tired of socal.rr.com errors with thunderbird. Just a month ago I had an error that popped up every time I tried to check my mail, see below link. This was thankfully fixed, but I'd much rather have that error back then not being able to send mail. Is this error because of thunderbird, socal, or something else?

I have never heard of a social.rr.com email address before, are they new? or particularly old?

again I think the issue will be with spectrum, but what account settings to you have for the SMTP account?

Another roadrunner user found a set of working settings:

This was for a rochester.rr.com address, but it may also work for socal.rr.com addresses. For the outgoing server, first select SSL/TLS security and then type in 587 for the port, instead of 465 that will be automatically entered.
