I have an unsupported email address on Outlook and want to import my saved emails on that server to my existing gmail account on Thunderbird. How do I do this?

My old account is through Spectrum using my original bresnan.net server name. It still works, but is no longer supported by Spectrum and I am having trouble with it. I have many saved emails on Outlook with the bresnan.net address and want to transfer them to my gmail account on Thunderbird. I am running Windows 10. I haven't found a way to do this looking at the Q&A's on the community of users.

Are the bresnan messages still available on the Spectrum mail server? If so, you could set the gmail account to collect them: gmail Settings, Accounts & Import, 'Import mail and contacts' or 'Check mail from other accounts'.

If the mail is only stored locally in Outlook, and TB is installed on the same computer, you could try importing them to TB via the import wizard, Tools/Import..., select 'Mail' not 'Everything'.

If you do it this way, the mail will be stored under Local Folders. Uploading anything but small numbers of messages to the gmail IMAP server is not recommended.
