When I attempt to use a link in word or PDF, I get that message. I'm using Windows 10 with Firefox as my default browser. The only help I have been able to find refers to Windows 7 and says to set my default browser to Internet Explorer.

Hi gordonssavage, sorry to hear about this problem. It usually occurs when Office looks for your default browser in a previous location, but it is no longer there. This could happen, for example, if you either (A) remove Google Chrome after it was made your default browser, or (B) uninstall and reinstall Firefox, and it switches from being under the 32-bit program folders path to the 64-bit program folders path.

Office can be very stubborn, but there is a long-known registry fix for this. See:

If it doesn't work, we will need to find another way to fool Office.
