60.5.2 crashing
I installed Thunderbird 60.5.2 a few days ago on my Mac Mini desktop, when I close it it crashes, I get a black screen with the spinning color wheel - this lasts for several minutes, followed by a screen asking me to make a report.

Can you post your last few crash reports as links, from Help/Troubleshooting Information, All Crash Reports?
In the meantime, run in safe mode (hold Option when you launch TB) and see if TB still crashes.

I can't see anything obvious in the crash reports, but I notice you have a few add-ons, i.e. ProfileSwitcher and Select Inbox. I doubt they are causing the crash, but did safe mode change anything?
Because it's an intermittent problem - I will have to try SAFE Mode several times to see if it crashes, so far trying it once it did not.
My HUGE mistake, it's 60.5.3 that's crashing and it is so intermittent (even in SAFE mode) that I decided to go back to 60.5.2 and I went into preferences to uncheck Update automatically.
You might try running OS X in safe mode, and then see if TB crashes in TB normal mode.
