AOL photo attachments were opening with a default, now it requires me to save the picture like Google did. Help.

I was using Chrome, but I wanted to try the "new" Firefox. I love it so far. It's faster than Chrome too! One thing that Chrome made me do was to always "save" photo attachments sent to me from anyone - primarily AOL accounts though. But when I switched to Firefox I was delighted that when I went to open a photo attachment in AOL mail, Firefox had me default to a program that just opened it, no saving it. Well, that went away today, and I'm not sure what happened.

Last night as I closed my system, Microsoft did an "update". Not sure if this had anything to do with it, especially since MS is waging war on Firefox and Chrome.

Do you have any suggestions as to how I can just "open" a photo in my AOL email without having to save it?

Thanks!!!!

Hi, no idea what happened let alone what you had updated as everyone is on different versions of Win10 and builds.

Please go to Options --> Applications and look for jpeg and other picture formats in the list and click on them and tell them what to open with or to do.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! It is back to opening it, rather than saving. Thank you so much. Not sure how it changed as I hadn't touched that area. But now I know where to go if it happens again.

Have a great rest of the day!
