When visiting the website https://www.jstor.org, which I have used on a number of occasions, a yellow ribbon appeared below the browser address bar suggesting that I disable the Kaspersky Lab internet security plugin to make the website load quicker. I did not respond to this suggestion and the yellow ribbon went away.

Did the browser make this suggestion or was this a potential cyber security threat? Should I be concerned? Is there anything I should do?

Thanks for your input
