The other day , shut down my laptop, restarted and all my saved login's and passwords are gone, I dont know if FF did an update. I have found various people with the same problems and tried doing some of the suggestions offered( from here at M Support) , but nothing seems to be working.

Was the computer or hard drive damaged? If not, you might be able to recover your data.

I don't know LastPass. Do they keep your data on their servers?

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Nothing damaged , it wont boot so my only option is to reload the OS , all of the built in recovery options have failed. It won't boot from a external drive either.

You may need to take it to a repair center. Make sure you get them to save your data.
