Can I alter the order in which multiple email accounts are shown in the Local Folders panel ?

more options

I have 4 email accounts all accessed through TBird, and displayed using a Unified Inbox. Every time I start writing a new email it is by default sent from the account at the top of the list of 4 accts shown in the Local Folders panels, which is the order in which I created the accounts within TBird. To avoid having to alter the From account each time I write - and I sometimes forget - I want to bring one of the lower-listed accounts to the top, as it is the one I most often use. The only way I have found to do this is to one-by-one delete the accounts higher in the list, and then re-create them within TBird. Surely there is an easier/safer way ?

You can set a default account by going into Account Settings. If I remember correctly it is under Account Actions below the account list on the left side.

You can change the order of accounts in the folder pane with an add on called Manually Sort Folders. Go to the add on tab in Thunderbird and click Extensions. Enter manually sort folders in the search box. Install that.
