I received an email whereas the message body would not display an important link until I converted it to all Text. Just wanted you to be aware of this.
I received an email from HP Support with an embedded URL Link in a regular email message body for me to print out a Shipping Label...(to send back an HP product).
The link was not detectable (noticable) until I viewed/converted the email message to "Plain Text" (instead of Original or Simple HTML)...
I frequently received emails in Thunderbird that I have to view as either Simple HTML or Plain Text in order to make sense or see them. I have the latest updates to Thunderbird and am running Windows 10...
This could be dangerous or frustrating to a regular email user who does not know to change their Views in Thunderbird...
Is Mozilla aware of these anomalies and are they working on fixing them?
thanks!

Two things.
Mozilla withdrew their development efforts some years ago. Thunderbird is now a community project funded by donations.
The exact HTML in the message would need to be examined to determine why the link was not displayed. I am aware of issues where the Text and HTML of emails from some large corporations are not only dissimilar, but simply do not contain the same information. But I have never seen an example of what you are talking about.
Perhaps you could forward the original as an attachment to me as matt_au@gmx.com. Have to go where they allow EML attachments. Gmail have become so difficult of late about attachments.
