I use mailanyone.net webmail, and can't get thunderbird to accept it. Where can I find specific instructions for setting it up?

I use thunderbird for multiple accounts. My colleagues all use mailanyone.net. At least one of them also uses thunderbird with mailanyone. She told me her settings so that I could copy them, but I still can't get it to work. I have no idea what's incorrect.

How do you get an email account with them? If I google mailanyone.net I get just a login screen that assumes I already have an account.

If you have an account, surely you can get past that login and then search for advice on settings. But I'm stumped.

This appears to be an email service provided by entergroup. The suggested settings are imap.mailanyone.net on port 143 for the incoming IMAP server (pop.mailanyone.net on port 110 for the incoming POP server), and smtp.mailanyone.net on port 2500 for the outgoing server. Connection security should be None, authentication should be 'password transmitted insecurely', and User name = email address.

When you set up a new account in TB, you may have to click Manual config. to override the settings entered by the account wizard.

I tried your settings recommendations. I don't actually get an option of "password transmitted insecurely", so I tried all of them. Oh wait, I just saw that last bit about username being the email address. Gonna try one more time.

Nope. Still didn't work.
