Why does Firefox 57.0.1 work fine and when I update to 58.0.1 all sites I try visit gives me the error message "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER"

I was running Firefox 57.0.1 with no issues. Auto update installed 58.0.1 and from then on all sites gave me the error message "SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER". I am using Windows Defender as anti virus on windows 10. I then reinstalled 57.0.1 and everything works again. Disabling anti virus and any ad blockers I have made no difference.
