On my new computer, Thunderbird only shows/keeps about 2-3 weeks worth of emails, about 700. On my old computer, would keep thousands in inbox. What changed?

There are only about 700 emails,or about 2 weeks worth of emails showing in my inbox. On my old computer, I could keep many more emails in my inbox and then search for items I need, Did something change or do I need to reconfigure something? I went through Account Settings twice, but couldn't find any way to adjust how long/how many emails could remain in the inbox. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

My guess is you setup your old mail account as POP and your new on as IMAP.

IMAP is synchronized to the mail server, so any action that happens there is synchronized to Thunderbird. Including actions to delete message.
