The latest version of Firefox will not let me install unless I run as admin. I have all the privileges because it's my computer. What do I do?

Every since this latest version of Firefox installed I have had problems. Just with my PC not the laptop. It would say there is a reference memory problem and then I tried to un-installed and reinstall and when I go to reinstall is constantly asks me to run it as admin. I have never had to do this since it's my computer. SO I click the run as current user because they all have the privileges. This does no good either ti will never run the install program. I don't believe I've ever set up the admin account password on my PC since I've had it. OS is Windows 7. I have never had any problems with Firefox until this latest version of it. I even tried to install the previous version and it still asks for Admin. It's rather frustrating to say the least. What can I do to solve this problem?

Try the offline installer from here: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/57.0.2/win64/en-US/ - When it asks for admin press no, it will install anyway.

If this solved your problem, mark as solution.

Yea, no, that didn't work. This is what I get when I try it. I click the current user and it doesn't install on it's own. I am really at a loss. I hate Chrome and I'm forced to use that . lol

When it did install after the auto update and the other time I could actually get it installed when it opened up this was the message that came along with it:

The instruction at 0x3f10945e referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. I have looked this up like 6 different times and I never find anything on what it meant or how to fix the issue.

Try the 32-bit Firefox version if you currently have the 64-bit Firefox version installed.

One of the problems is it doesn't connect to the net. I can't use firefox to connect to the net at all. I tried to copy and paste the refresh link into firefox. it doesn't connect. so this doesn't work either.

It does not need to connect to the net. You need to read the link and all that are supplied. Noting works like that. We supply info so you can work on it and report back. Read the Url Please, Report back after you have read how to back up your Profile and how to back up your bookmarks as HTML and that you have done so as per the URL's instructions.

Once that is Done then do the Refresh after you have read it.......
