Will stop using firefox due to quantum

Kind of sucks, I've always enjoyed firefox, but a key part of that was being able to use Tab Mix Plus. By forcing me to update before that extension was ready I'm moving over to Chrome.

Wish mozilla would see the value in this, I hope eventually it comes around, but now I'm switching my default browser to chrome.

Indeed. More generally, vast amount of addons is the whole point of using Firefox in the first place. Once most addons stop working, what's left is just a very bloated browser (no matter how "streamlined", it's not going to be as small and fast as lite browsers) with horrible looking GUI (since someone reduced layout to gray boxes stuck in arbitrary places and icons to gray-on-gray scribbles long ago, and now a lot of customization is gone, too).

Hi Valdar, which features of Tab Mix Plus did you use that you weren't able to replace in Firefox 57+?

This detail is important to know where to focus.

The one I've seen mentioned a few times was having input in the address bar directed to a new tab automatically.

Address bar opening in New tab. Stacking the tabs instead of scrolling. Protecting tabs. Close other tabs.

But two critical are stacking tabs and address bar in new window.

I've started using Chrome with some extensions and it seems to accomplish what I need in a roundabout way.

Hopefully this can be address soon.

Wrapping tabs to a second or third line can be implemented using a custom style rule. For example:

But changing what happens when you press Enter in the address bar appears to requires a program change. Until then, you need to press Alt+Enter or Ctrl+click the arrow.

I don't know if it's the same feature, but there is "Close Other Tabs" on the right-click tab context menu.
