Big problems with videos and animations. When it will be solve ?

Great bug with videos and animations since last update. Videos are totally spoiled with green and grey color. I'm manager of computer service firm and all customers we advice to use mozilla firefox are calling us all day long about this great bug....
Repairing and make a reset doesn't always solve the problem in any case it's not possible to work on it making reset each day and without using plug-ins. Problem is present on so many computers of customers that we advice to use Google Chrome.
Such a pity it was great navigator and its new shape with agressive corners is not pleasant too. I hope you will make update soon because for the moment it's impossible to use for many users and unpleasant.

hi Steph66000, we are looking into a fix - could you check if the problem is solved when you test it with the latest nightly development build of firefox?

Thanks for your reply i will check today.
Problem is this problem appeared on so many computers of customers with different hardwares and Operating system that it will be impossible to give you efficient feedback on only some computers we have in Office.

we would primarily be interested if nightly can be tested on a windows 8.1 device with amd graphics card. the sooner we get feedback about this, the sooner we can look into rolling out the fix.
in the meantime, on all your other systems you can do the following to work around the problem: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named media.windows-media-foundation.use-nv12-format. double-click it and change its value to false.

I made test with Firefox nightly on hardware computer you were interested by, i sent you you details of this computer. No problem with video like firefox quantum but very slow to start.
We made test with same website we are making for customer (http://www.domaine-des-terres-cathares.com) with video on main page no problem with Firefox nightly, and spoiled video with quantum.

It isn't completely possible to use the Australis design with Firefox 57, but depending on what you want, you might be able to customize the UI to look more like the old one: This project: https://github.com/wilfredwee/photon-australis lets you have the old tab bar appearance back in Firefox 57. You can remove the space around the address bar by right-clicking on the spaces, and choosing "remove from toolbar". Note the Black Theme is just a Example and can be found in Customize.
