How do I get back to a version of Firefox that doesn't hang?

Worthless Firefox "update" has disabled NoScript (which Mozilla's own Help articles recommend as a way of stopping Firefox hanging) and BarTab (which stops all tabs loading at once). Now it's been hanging for more than a quarter of an hour and if I close it, I'll lose something I've been working on for more than an hour. Will post a separate topic about how to stop it hanging now and save the article, but how do I get back to a working version of Firefox and stop them trying to shove the other version down my throat until the add-ons needed to make it work are ready? Yes, I've read the patronising article where Mozilla wag their fingers at anyone who dares to question their forcing a substandard new version of Firefox on people, but in this case, the new version and its incompatibility with vital add-ons is definitely what's causing the hangs.

This latest version (57) is TERRIBLE. I can't leave more than 2 tabs open before it freezes, hangs, and/or stops responding, as well as script errors. I already posted about this in my own complaint/question. My RoboForm is now on the bottom of the page, and my Norton Safe Search is only an icon now. I'm miserable!

The version you have of NoScript is a legacy extension not compatible with Firefox 57+

The new webextension version of NoScript for Firefox 57 is now out https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/noscript/
