I've got a fresh installation of Firefox. It won't launch and remain available--it flashes open, then collapses down to a tiny box or a stripe across my desktop which rapidly shrinks and disappears. What's wrong; how do I fix this?

hi, are you able to successfully launch firefox into safemode by pressing the shift key while it is starting up?
