Have to press BACK button twice

Go to www.smh.com.au Click on the hyperlink of any news article. Right click on Firefox's BACK button and you'll see the news article listed once. Use the Windows scroll bar to go all the way to the bottom of the news article. Right click on Firefox's BACK button and now the news article is listed twice.

This is completely reproducible and happens on lots of web sites other than www.smh.com.au

I notice that there are lots of Mozilla Firefox support issues complaining about this problem of having to press the BACK button more than once. It is easy to reproduce. Surely some software person can go the www.smh.com.au and see what what the code that puts pages in the BACK button list is doing and fix this for all of us?
