Current Firefox is screwing up pages that worked fine in earlier versions. Like: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/classes.html, or stern.de.

The layout on stern.de is screwed up in that it draws pictures that should be further down on the page behind the one that belong at the top. I thought this could be a problem with me using NoScript.

But now I get the problem also with paizo on the prd, which is really simple html. The link I add here Like: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/coreRulebook/classes.html shows a list of links and right of them the descriptive text. But for every other row the descriptive text is left aligned and covers the link.

I checked the source and didn't see anything in the html that could cause that. It worked fine with previous versions. But I can't completely rule it out that something on the page itself changed.

That usually means that some CSS files are blocked.

You can check the Web Console (Tools -> Web Developer) for messages about blocked content and about the presence of mixed or unsafe content.

You can check the Network Monitor to see if content is blocked or otherwise fails to load.

Use "Ctrl+F5" or "Ctrl+Shift+R" to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

  • make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

You might want to update all drivers, motherboard, video card sound and especially your graphics card..

As for the site ( stern.de) I see it perfectly I think in Private Browsing. But when you use w3c.org (World Wide Web Consortium that sets the practises and standards for browsers and web pages) validator on the page it does have errors in it's HTML Code on images, they are not bad. https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stern.de%2F and CSS has 55 errors https://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=www.stern.de&profile=css3&usermedium=all&warning=1&vextwarning=&lang=en

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
