Will not send email if more than 1Mb
If I try to send an email with more information than 1GB,(although I sent one the other day with 1.5GB) but could not send one with 2.1GB the email will not send - it times out. I have checked with bigpond my provider and they say the problem is with Thunderbird. I assume it may be a setting problem. Can you please help Thanks

1Gb, that is not something that it is sane to even try and send as an email. it is at a minimum of 40 times bigger that Testra say they will deliver. A cloud provider like google drive or dropbox is the best way. email a link to the file you have uploaded.
this PDF states 25Mb following the transition to telstra mail.
Matt My apologies I have made a mistake I meant 1Mb. Murfie
Try disabling your anti virus from scanning outgoing mail and see how that goes. They can regularly delay mail until the server simply disconnects.
I really wonder why they scan outgoing mail. They certify your computer virus free, so where is the virus they are looking for in your outgoing mail going to come from. It is not like a cold where the person next to your can sneeze it to you.
Matt Thankyou. It worked and such a simple solution.
