Is it possible for firefox to save just username for outlook and not the password?
I can get firefox to save both the username and the password for outlook.com but I would like to save just the username and then fill in the password - is this feasible?? Thank you. I am on a dell desktop on windows 10

Should be easy enough when you look at your passwords listing there is a right click option and you may edit them.
- Password Manager - Remember, delete and edit logins and passwords in Firefox_viewing-and-deleting-passwords
We do not even seem to have documented the edit option but I have checked in the Release and I do see the option to edit the password.

Not really. What you can do is to turn off the Password Manager and us a Form Filling add-on.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

I ended up saving the username and also a one-letter password which is wrong. I can now simply delete that and put in the correct password and I no longer have to type out the long username. Many thanks for the helpful answers which guided me in this direction.
