I try to sign in but don't receive emails about password. Maybe I've never registered. How do I do that?
When I tried to sign in to Thunderbird I received no emails in reply to not knowing my password. Maybe I never signed in when my computer man set me up. Do I need to registerR

Thunderbird is an e-mail program. It does not provide you with an e-mail address. You need to have an e-mail address that either your Internet Service Provider gave to you, or an e-mail address you requested from another e-mail provider like Gmail, Hotmail, etc.
I recommend that you get your "computer man" back to set up your e-mail address and configure it in Thunderbird. Or get him to explain how to use it if it is already set up.

Thank you very much, Bruce. In fact I had already solved the conundrum, but your helpfulness is something I appreciate very much indeed.
