I couldn't remember my TB PW so tried the ones i thought it was only to be locked out. Now i know what it is, so how do i make ThunderBird ask for my password again? Thanks In Advance Dave

Chosen solution

Go to Tools|Options|Security|Passwords→Saved Passwords and remove them. Note you will have two entries for each account, one for incoming (POP or IMAP) and another for outgoing (SMTP).

Thanks for the response, YES removing the Password worked 'To a Point'. Having removed them ALL, it still didn't ask for a password (and i forgot to mention that the circle in the TAB was continuously rotating). However i then did a Windows reboot (reloading TB didn't help), and low and behold it now asks for the Passwords . Thanks Dave
