youtube becomes to fuzzy to read subtitles

more options

When I am watching Youtube on Firefox, at first it is crystal clear and I am able to read the English subbing for the video but 2-3 minutes in, everything goes really fuzzy. Is there a solution to this? Any assist is appreciated.

By default, YouTube will set the video quality to automatically detect what quality your system and network connection can handle. If you have a slow connection or a slow system, YouTube may automatically drop your video quality to the lowest setting (usually 144p).

Try clicking the little gear icon on the YouTube player and change the quality setting to something other than automatic. I would recommend the 480p setting, since it sounds like your internet may not be fast enough to play the HD settings.

Note: When playing a video at a higher quality setting that your system/network can handle, users may experience buffering, freezing or a delay in the video. If this occurs, try pausing the video to allow your computer to load the video or try lowering the video quality setting.
