I have a coworker who needs to access outlook online. we are in california, and she needs it to think its in New Zealand.

so she can access the outlook calendar in that time zone.

can this be done on the latest version of firefox for MAC. i did see a geolocator addon, but its does not support past version 46. i tried searching for older versions, but i cant find the dmg file, only weird files.

thank you,

Carlos

In most situations, time settings and location are determined by the operating system settings and/or the router settings. These settings normally aren't controlled from Firefox.

I think you can get a world clock from the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here).

i dont need a clock. i need the browser to think its in new zealand. so when i open my outlook calendar through the browser the meetings show up in NZ time.

sadly outlook for mac does not support dual time zone. so my outlook runs local time (which i like). but i need a 2nd outlook (browser based) to run NZ time.

You might have better luck here; https://support.microsoft.com Good luck.

fredMcD. i do appreciate any help i can get, but surely you must see how someone posting forum home pages and add on pages is frustrating.

i have done basic research. i am looking for more specific help and or solutions.

thank you again, i dont mean to be rude, just need some actual help.

I understand that. But you are asking questions about a Microsoft program. That is a bit outside our area (Firefox).

As to the add-ons, there is no telling if there is something there can help you.

so my question is. is there a way to change the the timezone for the firefox browser independently? whether it be with an add on, or changing a file somewhere. i just want firefox to think its in NZ.

more options

Probably not. You can take a look at the add-ons from the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page (linked in a post above) to see if there are any add-ons to give you this feature, but this is not natively supported by Firefox.

As I said before, the timezone is usually determined by the timezone on your system or sometimes even by your IP address. These are things not controlled by Firefox.

You could potentially use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get the website to think that you are in a different location, but we can't offer steps on how to do that.

The best course of action would be to contact Microsoft directly to see if they have a solution for you. Sorry for the inconvenience.

i did find an add on geolocater. but it only works with version 46. i looked into the older versions section for firefox, but there are only folders with files im not sure of. where can i get the actual version 46 DMG Mac installation file?

If you are referring to this add-on, it appears that it no longer works and has been discontinued by the developer.

As for installing older versions of Firefox, all archived versions of Firefox are stored on the Mozilla FTP server and can be downloaded. However, this is not recommended.

Warning: It is highly recommended that you do NOT run out-dated Firefox versions because they may contain serious security threats.
Use at your own risk!

If you wanted to use an old version of Firefox, it would be better to install the Extended Support Release of Firefox (currently 45.0) because they have fewer security holes.

Warning: Firefox ESR is intended for groups who deploy and maintain the desktop environment in large organizations such as universities and other schools, county or city governments and businesses. This version is not intended for personal use.
