Everything worked fine with Thunderbird until all of a sudden it would no longer sync with my gmail account. I did not change anything, it just stopped working. Nothing I have tried will fix this, and setting up a new account will not work either. In addition, when I try to remove an account under Account Settings - Account Actions - Remove Account, I click Ok to remove and nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and updating, but nothing works.

Thunderbird will not connect to my gmail account

Please explain what that means. Do you get any error message?

I don't get any error messages that popup when I open Thunderbird, but it just does not connect with Gmail. I hit Get Messages and nothing happens. It was working fine one day and the next it was not.

When I try to create or connect to a new account, I use same email and password and it tells me Configuration Could Not Be Verified - Is the Username or Password Wrong? (They are not).
